Recently, Abhay Deol expressed his disappointment towards influential Bollywood personalities endorsing fairness products and propagating wrong messages to the audience. This was followed by Sonam Kapoor getting trolled for her effort to embarrass Abhay Deol.

Now, another Bollywood actor has come out to express his take on fairness product endorsements, but this is quite different from that of Abhay Deol.

'Dhoom' actor Uday Chopra has tweeted a few of his thoughts on this recent controversy, and this is what he had to say:

In one of the tweets he said, that fairness cream is not a race issue, but is a self-esteem issue. Guess, Uday didn't quite understand the point Abhay was trying to make. It's not just about being racist, but the endorsements also give out messages that deteriorate one's self-esteem.
