Twitter welcomes Kotak Mahindra Bank VC & MD Uday Kotak

On November 11, Uday Kotak, executive vice chairman and MD, Kotak Mahindra Bank, became the latest corporate boss to embrace the microblogging site. And within 10 days of joining the platform, he’d harnessed its power to announce the Kotak Mahindra Bank and ING Vysya Bank merger, a landmark event in the banking sector in recent times. He used Twitter to even thank all for their “good wishes and comments on the merger announcement”.

Kotak’s tweet history strikes a graceful balance between business-related and personal tweets. Like the picture of his wife, Pallavi at the Everest Base Camp, just two days after joining Twitter. Or the view of a cricket field from his BKC office.

Apart from business personalities like Anand Mahindra and Harsh Goenka, Kotak follows his two sons, Jay and Dhawal Kotak.
