Twitter launches first-ever fashion emoji for India, live broadcasts Lakme Fashion Week shows

If your Lakme Fashion Week pass ( LFW) got lost in the mail (read: you just didn’t get one), don’t worry, you can still be a part of the mega-fashion event, courtesy Twitter.

The social media site has joined the fashion fraternity with a custom LFW emoji, a special fashion insider crew (#FashionFlock) featuring some of the biggest names from the event, and live HD broadcast of the runway shows on Periscope.

#FashionFlock will bring together ten fashion insiders that include designers and makeup artists to give live updates. From make-up artist Daniel Bauer to designers Kunal Rawal, Nikhil Thampi, Nishka Lulla, you can get all the updates from the pros themselves.

In addition, fashion fans can get front row access to Manish Malhotra and Ritu Kumar’s runway shows through Live HD broadcasts via Periscope. Twitter will also be live-streaming Masaba and Nachiket Barve’s show.
