Twitter is not too pleased with Salman Khan’s farmer act, reminds actor of his past deeds

Bollywood actor Salman Khan has spent most of his quarantine days in his lush green Panvel farmhouse. The actor has recorded songs, done promo shoots, recorded commercials - all from the confines of Panvel. However, a recent social media post by the megastar seems to have hit a wrong note with the netizens.

On Tuesday, Khan shared a photograph of himself, covered in mud and captioned it, “Respect to all the farmers.” From the photograph, it seemed like the ‘Bharat’ actor has had a tough time at his farming turf, but netizens were in no mood to spare the actor

Clocking in 3,600 likes, this tweet accused Khan of ‘overacting’. ‘You rubbed mud in your face but forgot your legs!’ read the tweet.


In another tweet, a netizen talked about how ‘criminals’ are working hard to show ‘fake humanity’ and ‘cover their crimes’. ‘Plz show some humanity for innocent animals and people on footpath and don't get involved with underworld and terrorists,’ read the tweet.

This Twitterati asked Khan to respect people ‘sleeping on the footpath’.
‘Expected more of a veteran actor/ producer, but appreciate the emotion,’ wrote another Twitter user.
Some Twitter users were of the opinion that Khan’s post does not do justice to farmers. This Twitter user wrote, ‘huge respect to our farmers who do farming without a photographer around them, without uploading pics on internet and who work in the fields staying unknown and away from all the limelight.’

Some netizens even took a jibe at Khan and wondered if he fell into a ‘muddy pit’.
