Tuesday treat: Edelweiss MF CEO's secret to get 20x returns, bats for overseas investments
Radhika Gupta also shared how small things can make a big difference in people's lives.

Radhika Gupta, MD and CEO of Edelweiss Mutual Fund, took to Twitter on Tuesday to share some pros and cons of investing abroad.
For the 'good' list, Gupta said the scope of growth round the clock is high as different markets perform at different times. Also, global markets have access to ideas that are not present in India. She also said that hedging dollars against rupee will also bump up the returns whenever the Indian currency depreciates.
Adding to the 'bad' reasons that can hurt the country, the 38-year-old AMC boss said global funds come with higher returns and lesser risks, but can beat India.
In the end, "remember equity is equity," she emphasised.

Sharing that an MF NAV can go up 20 times in more than 25 years, she said that it is important to be an active investor than stressing about which fund or AMC to go for.
"It’s less about which fund or AMC, or about active versus passive," she wrote.

Even when people can afford anything, a little free gift always cheers up some people. Same goes for a small piece of appreciation. "A little milestone achieved even though the journey ahead is tougher and bigger," she added.
"Being 'a bull on life' is a state of mind."
