Truecaller rolls out family plan in India at Rs 132 a month: Check out features

Popular ID verification platform has come out with a family subscription plan for Indian consumers. Users will now be able to opt for a monthly subscription of the premium plan for Rs 132 or an annual plan worth Rs 925. They will also be able to share the subscription with four other family members.

According to the company, users can only buy the Truecaller premium family subscription on Android devices. However, after purchase, users can share the same with an iOS user. The company has also stated that existing premium users will need to upgrade to a family plan to add new members.

The company said that the Truecaller Premium Connect will let users add up to four people to their Truecaller family. All four members will be able to enjoy the premium features offered by the company. The tech giant has also assured that other users on the family plan will not be able to view your messages and contacts.


“Family Plan lets you choose whoever you want to be in your “family,” because we know that those closest to you can be anyone! And don't worry, the people on your family plan won't be able to see your calls or messages,” read the official blog post of the company.

Subscribers of Truecaller Premium Connect will get features such as no ads, who viewed my profile, advanced spam blocking, unlimited contact requests, incognito mode, announce calls (for Android), ghost calls (for Android), etc. And, the four members on the premium account need not be family members. “Just choose 4 people that you want to enjoy the perks of Premium, and add them to your subscription. No hidden extra fees for those you invite!” read a post on the blog.

The Truecaller application was released in 2009. The application crossed over 236 million active daily users this year.
