Trouble for Salman Khan: SC to expedite hearing in poaching case against actor
NEW DELHI: There is trouble in store for Salman Khan. In a ruling, the Supreme Court on Friday has agreed to expedite hearing in the two cases of blackbuck and chinkara poaching

The actor had previously been acquitted by the Rajasthan High Court in the two cases. Khan and seven others - including actors Saif Ali Khan, Tabu, Sonali Bendre and Neelam - were accused of killing a blackbuck and a chinkara in two separate incidents in 1998, during the filming of the movie 'Hum Saath Saath Hain'.

The High Court said that there was no evidence to prove that the animals who were found dead were shot by the actor's licensed gun.

Earlier in October, the Rajasthan government had knocked on the doors of the apex court. In its plea, state government had appealed against the High Court's decision of acquitting the actor in two cases of chinkara poaching in 1998.
