Trend watch: Vibrant colours, animal prints edge out traditional lingerie
A six-city survey by an online store finds that Indian women are rejecting the staid when it comes to innerwear.

-In 2015-16, sales of white, black and skin colours saw an 8 per cent decline as compared to 2014-15 in Mumbai. While sales from these traditional colours amounted to 50 per cent in 2014-15, in 2015-16, the sales from these colours amounted to 42 per cent in Mumbai.
-White showed the maximum decline among all the colours (4.6 per cent) followed by black (2 per cent).
-Blue, brown and green were the fastest growing colours in 2015-16 with blue contributing almost 12 per cent to the brand’s sales in Mumbai.
-Prints accounted for almost 10 per cent of sales in Mumbai in 2015-16.
-Sales of sexy lingerie have grown 96 per cent in 2015-2016 as compared to the previous year.
