Toyota launches the new Fortuner, starting at Rs 29.98 lakh

NEW DELHI: Japanese auto major Toyota - which operates through a joint-venture with the Kirloskar Group, Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) - Wednesday launched the new Fortuner priced upwards of Rs 29.98 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The Fortuner is available in both petrol and diesel fuel options. While the petrol variants come for between Rs 29.98-31.57 lakh, the diesel ones are tagged between Rs 32.48-37.43 lakh. The company additionally launched the Fortuner Legender priced at Rs 37.58 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).



Naveen Soni, senior vice-president (sales and service) at TKM said the Fortuner commands a market share of 53% on its segment and with the new launch the company aims to strengthen its leadership position in the market.

The Fortuner accounted for nearly a fifth of Toyota’s sales in India till November this fiscal year.
