Digital creator Jack Heaton, currently travelling across India, shared a video on Instagram highlighting how most international tourists limit their trips to the Golden Triangle, which he described as chaotic. In his caption, he pointed out that India often gets a negative reputation online, largely because travellers tend to experience only a narrow slice of the country. He stressed the need for a shift in how India is promoted, both online and offline, suggesting that destinations offering a more enjoyable and balanced experience deserve greater attention.
Drawing a contrast, Heaton turned the spotlight on Kerala, describing it as a completely different experience. He highlighted the state’s clean, peaceful environment and natural beauty, positioning it as a place that better reflects a calmer, more serene side of India. According to him, Kerala offers a refreshing break from the intensity that often defines the Golden Triangle, making it especially appealing for travellers seeking relaxation and authenticity.

One of the standout experiences he spoke about was exploring Kerala’s famous backwaters on a traditional houseboat. He described this as one of the best ways to truly experience the region, emphasising the comfort, quiet surroundings, and high-quality hospitality. From spacious interiors to the experience of enjoying Indian food while floating through scenic waterways, he called it the best experience he has had in India so far.Internet reacts
