TopMan style tips : Gordon Richardson's advice

Gordon Richardson, Design Director, TopMan, which has just launched via Jabong, shares his style advice with ET Panache

- For me, the most important thing about style, you need to find things that work for you and not adopt any new trend.

- Always try clothes on. When you try things on in a changing room and you think they could look good on you and then suddenly, it's the complete opposite. So, make sure you try an item on before buying.

- I think as you get older you should start looking at jeans in a different way. For older men, a sleek pair of jeans with a dark denim wash is good. Almost trouser like.

- I've seen a lot of stylish people in Mumbai. I think the style here is very applicable to climate. I like the jeans, tee and sandal combo.

- Be true to yourself. But always look around. I think it is important to look at other people's style. Whether it is celebrities, bloggers or just random people, see what works for you.
