Hollywood superstar Tom Cruise is returning as Ethan Hunt in 'Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One' this July.

The official Twitter account of the spy thriller shared the first official poster on Tuesday. The 'Dead Reckoning Part One' is set to hit the theatres on July 14.

In the official poster, Cruise could be seen jumping off his bike amid mountains.

Backed by Paramount and Skydance, the official teaser trailer of the movie was released in May last year. In the trailer, Cruise can be seen driving through European cities and riding a horse in the desert.

The action-packed trailer also shows Cruise getting ready to fly a warplane, running on top of a speeding train, and riding a motorcycle down a cliff (which made the official poster) in other scenes.

Directed by Christopher McQuarrie, the movie - the seventh movie in the 'Mission: Impossible' franchise - also stars Nick Offerman, Rebecca Ferguson, Vanessa Kirby and Hayley Atwell in pivotal roles.

The 'Dead Reckoning' is said to have two parts.

The second part will be a sequel to 'Dead Reckoning: Part One'. The second installment is slated to have a theatrical release on June 28, 2024. The 'Part Two' is currently in production, and plot details are under wraps.

Nearly 30 years ago in 1996, the 60-year-old first played Ethan Hunt in 'Mission: Impossible'. Cruise has already started shooting for 'Part Two'.

According to USA-based news outlet Fox News, Cruise recently took a helicopter, earlier this month, "onto a US aircraft carrier off the eastern coast of Italy" to shoot movie sequences for the second part.

Apulia Film Commission Chairman Antonio Parente told Fox News, "Cruise flew into the port of Bari on the country's southeastern coast where he spent the night at a five-star hotel before choppering to the floating set the next day."

The 'Mission: Impossible' team chose Apulia region, also known as Puglia, in Italy as the operational base for the movie's complex shoot.
