To celebrate 'memelord' Elon Musk's Twitter board entry, netizens flood the Internet with jokes

From ranting about Twitter and its limitation to joining the board, Tesla chief Elon Musk really did a 360! The micro-blogging site on Tuesday made it official by announcing that Musk has joined its board with hopes that the billionaire will lift the social media company's prospects.

The news has not only impacted the shares market but also social media. Especially after biggies such as Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal and Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey led the congratulations for Musk on the micro-blogging site.

"I'm excited to share that we're appointing @elonmusk to our board! Through conversations with Elon in recent weeks, it became clear to us that he would bring great value to our Board," Agrawal said in a tweet.


Musk replied to Twitter CEO saying he is looking forward to working with him and the board to make significant improvements to the social media platform in coming months.

While Dorsey shared his happiness saying Musk cares deeply about "our world and Twitter's role in it". "Parag and Elon both lead with their hearts, and they will be an incredible team," he tweeted.


Amongst the congratulatory messages, Twitter is also flooded with memes and jokes on Musk joining the board, with people calling him the "chief meme officer" at Twitter.

It's no secret that Musk has rarely used the platform to have a serious conversation and has often spammed users with memes. In fact one of his tweets from February 2022 read: "Who controls the memes, Controls the universe."
