Tips to handle an argument with your partner in public
If Hollywood's most-poised couple succumbs to airing dirty linen in public, we mere mortals don't stand a chance. Here's what you can do to save some grace.

So, while they are expected, you need to know how to handle an argument in public. ETPanache lists out some rules:
No name-calling
This, my dear friend, doesn't show up the other person, it shows you in bad light. Name-calling will showcase how little you respect the person you are disagreeing with. And if it is your spouse, expect to be sleeping on the couch, indefinitely. Whether indoors or outdoors, you need to refrain from name-calling because it is tacky and juvenile.
Go easy on the gestures
Some people are animated by nature. However, this animation is taken to a whole new level when they are angry. If you're guilty of hand gestures, excessive pacing or holding your head, remember the camera is not on you, so cool it. Sure you're frustrated, but remember it's most likely a temporary situation so don't be overly dramatic.
Keep calm
Shouting does not solve anything. Ever. Having an argument in public is one thing, but having the public listen to every detail takes it to a new level. People will listen, point, judge and worst of all, may tell you to tone it down, which is as embarrassing as it gets. Save yourself the awkwardness and just have a discussion like a grown up.
Don't ask others
No matter how tempting it is to pull in a random stranger and ask them to resolve your debate, do not. When you're angry, you can't see or think clearly and this may seem like a good idea. But, there's a high chance you will cringe at your behaviour in under an hour. If you do need a third party, there are lots of online advice columns that can help you.
