Use The Trash Button More
If you get emails with huge attachments, keep deleting regularly. Don’t forget to delete emails that automatically end up in the Promotions, Social and Spam tabs. Select emails in bulk and hit the delete button. In case you don’t want to delete all the emails from these tabs, you can always identify the email ids, run a search and delete them at once. Don’t forget to empty the Trash folder to delete permanently.
Sanitise Your Google Drive
Google Drive can be a storage hog and it is important to sanitise it regularly. If you rely on Google Photos for backup, doing this becomes even more important. All you need to do is delete unnecessary files that you no longer use. You can also head to Google Photos and delete duplicates, blurred images, and big videos – all of these eat into your Gmail storage. The deleted files, photos and videos will go to Trash creating more space.
