Time to disconnect: GoWork CEO avoids using the phone after 9pm; relies on memory over GPS

Sudeep Singh has a non-toxic relationship with technology.

The Samsung Galaxy Fold is possibly the next device Singh aims to upgrade to.
Technology is one of the greatest enablers of our time. While it’s impossible to imagine living without tech today, it’s also essential to find ways to disconnect. That’s why Sudeep Singh, CEO, GoWork, still prefers to rely on his memory instead of GPS while driving, and avoids using the phone after 9 pm.

Digital detox
“I am actually disciplining myself to strike the right balance with technology to optimise efficiency but not letting it enslave me,” says Singh. In fact, Singh’s leisure and travel preferences are also a conscious choice to disconnect. That’s the reason he would choose remote destinations for off-roading adventures, where he can disconnect for a day or two. “It is the perfect way for me to reboot,” he says.

Tech of choice
“My mobile handsets and smart watch are currently the gadgets that I heavily depend on, to function efficiently on a daily basis,” says Singh. He finds smaller and sleeker gadgets work best for him as opposed to heavy laptops. “I am currently using two phones, the iPhone X and a Note 10 — one of them is for personal use and the other for work calls and emails,” says Singh.
