LOS ANGELES: ABC TV network has renewed actor Tim Allen's multi-camera comedy " Last Man Standing" for season five.

Co-executive producer Matt Berry has been tapped to replace Tim Doyle as showrunner for the next instalment of the sitcom.

The upcoming season will likely be paired with Ken Jeong's upcoming comedy series "Dr Ken" on Fridays.

"Last Man Standing" has been a solid performer for ABC. It joins other comedies at ABC, including "The Goldbergs", "The Middle", "Modern Family", "Fresh Off the Boat", "Black-ish" and "Galavant", which will return next season.
