Tiger Shroff has been announced as the face of the Tata Mumbai Marathon 2020.
Among the current crop of Bollywood, Tiger Shroff is arguably leading the pack with his rigorous commitment to fitness, his athleticism, and of course, his moves on the dance floor. A hit with the millenials, Shroff has added a new feather to his cap. He has been announced as the face of the Tata Mumbai Marathon 2020.
The 17th edition of the event is scheduled to take place on January 19, 2020. Speaking about this new milestone, Shroff said, “The Tata Mumbai Marathon is an event that is very close to my heart. I have fond memories of participating in the first ever edition of the Dream Run. So, today when I see people training for their run at various locations in the city through the year, it is heartening to see so many people make a change for the better. I am very excited to be the face of Asia’s most iconic and prestigious event and I look forward to Mumbai transform itself on race day.”
The Mumbai Marathon has become a fixture on the social calendar of the city, with runners taking over the streets, normally reserved for vehicles of all sizes, enthusiastically. While some run to set personal records, others do so to support charities and causes of their choice.
Prominent personalities from the world of business are also seen participating in the marathon with gusto. Anil Ambani running with a coterie of security guards is an enduring image of the marathon. Tata Sons chairman N Chandrasekaran is also an avid runner, and a regular participant. Others like industrialists Sajjan Jindal and Anand Mahindra and former RBI governor Raghuram Rajan have also run the Mumbai Marathon previously.
