This Sidhu one-liner sums up his state of play: Promises and eggs are meant to be broken
From being a cricketer to a politician & an entertainer, Navjot Singh Sidhu has put on many hats yet critics see him as a rabble rouser.

Currently, this seems right for the BJP leadership. It was common knowledge that Sidhu nursed a grudge against the party for fielding Arun Jaitley, and not him, from the Amritsar constituency in the 2014 elections. But BJP supporters hoped he would remain in the fold, especially after he was nominated to the Rajya Sabha in April. His resignation is a prickly development.
'Wickets are like wives. You never know which way they will turn.’
Sidhu could be talking about Mrs Sidhu, also a BJP member. Some reports say she is staying in the party. Some say she too will exit. As of now, there is no saying which way she will turn.
‘Promises and eggs are meant to be broken’
Sidhu could have been talking about himself, or of politics in general. Loyalty in this game is rare, and friends can turn opponents before you find a matching tie for your turban.
‘The optimist sees the donut, the pessimist sees a hole’
This adage seems made for Arvind Kejriwal, the polarising leader of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). His critics see him as a rabble rouser. For well-wishers, he is a donut.

‘Strong men and waterfalls channel their own path’
So do the torrent of words from Sidhu’s tongue. This is a Sidhuism about Sidhuisms.
‘Fear multiplies faster than rabbits’
