Patrick Pruniaux, CEO, Ulysse Nardin, says he is in no hurry to jump on a plane and take off for his next holiday. “As long as I can escape freely in the countryside or in the mountains — which is possible in Switzerland, even during a partial lockdown — I am good,” Pruniaux, based out of Le Locle, Switzerland, says.

Pruniaux believes vacations are an unavailable luxury for all of us right now, but given the chance, he would love to explore the Azores, the North and South Poles, and visit some active volcanoes in Sicily and Hawaii. “That said, in my position, I need to stay close to our world-wide markets. Once borders begin to reopen, I will be travelling to those destinations as a priority.

These are definitely not times to be planning holidays anywhere, and my job is to make sure that all is stable. I think vacations can wait,” he adds.
