It is never easy to cope when your furry bestie crosses the rainbow bridge. No matter how old you are, or how long you have known your furbaby, losing them always leaves a gaping hole in your heart.
Megastar Amitabh Bachchan recently lost his beloved pet dog. The ‘Paa’ actor took to Twitter and Instagram to mourn his loss and penned a moving tribute to his pet. He shared a picture of his dog, a cute labrador, and wrote an emotional post, in memory of his furry buddy. “One of our little friends; work moments… then they grow up… and leave one day,” the post read in Hindi. The picture shows Bachchan looking dapper in a red suit and holding the dog close to him.
As soon as Bachchan shared the post, fans and wellwishers poured in to express their condolences. One user wrote, “Pets are precious as love.” Another commented, “God resides in them more as they don’t cheat!” Another fan wrote, “Wo humari zindagi me kuch samay k liye hote hai, par hum unki zindagi mein pure samay k liye hote hai, hume har wo prayas karna chahiye jis se hum unki zindagi lambi nahi - Badi banayee every second of every day." ( They (pets) occupy a very small portion of our life, but for them, we are their whole life, we just make an effort to make their lives worthwhile if not long)
The ‘Zanjeer’ star also shared the sad news on his blog. He wrote, “ “the gorgeousness of my little friend at work .. … and then they grow up and then one day leave us .. heartbreaking ! but while they are around they are the life and soul of our life ..!!
On the work front, the superstar was last seen in the road trip drama ‘Uunchai’. Directed by Sooraj Barjatya ( the film marked his directorial comeback after seven years) the movie was released on November 11 and earned rave reviews. The slice-of-life film also stars Anupam Kher and Boman Irani along with Bachchan.
