A certain kind of people seem to be the only ones who get slapped with the tag of being trolls — you know, those folks on the internet who you can see gnashing their teeth while banging out something inflammatory or threatening, in response to something that they don’t like one bit. Well, the club of trolls, usually seen as a mosh-pit full of ideological bigots and red necks, has been joined by a new set of diehard fanatics: Star Wars fans.

On a late-night satirical political news comedy show in the US, TV commentator Katherine Timf dissed the iconic space opera franchise by stating, "You Star Wars people are crazy. Yesterday, I tweeted something, and all I said was that I wasn’t familiar with Star Wars because I’ve been too busy liking cool things and being attractive — people threatened my life." This led to an avalanche of hostile reactions from Jehadi Knights that included death threats. When nerds beholden to a cinematic faith turn to such levels of bigotry, you know that the Force has turned against any liberal thinking. Such bhakts, of course, are in the minority. But it is time for those perfectly nice, Star Wars fans to speak up against these ugly lightsaber-rattlers. As Master Yoda would have said, "Intolerance no place for a Jedi there is." But then, is intolerance of intolerance not intolerance? The Force help us!
