There aren’t too many brands that make my size: Rana Daggubati

Hyderabad-based Rana Daggubati’s recent portrayal of an antagonist in a Telugu blockbuster caught the eye of the pan-India audience — for the menacing overtones to the character as well as the actor’s muscular build. While speaking about his sense of style and brand preferences, Daggubati told ETPanache, “I’m not a very brand conscious guy. There aren’t too many brands that make my size.”

His idea of fashion and style therefore stems from practicality. “My sense of style depends on the film that I’m doing because my body fluctuates so much. You can’t do the same styling for different body types,” he said. What stays constant through the multiple changes that his body undergoes is his love for the basics. “I wear basic clothes. I don’t experiment too drastically,” he said. That, and the most prized possessions in his wardrobe: the many pairs of sunglasses and ties left to him by his famous grandfather D Ramanaidu.
