The official synopsis says, "Maggie and Negan finally put aside their differences to build the first thriving community in Manhattan since the apocalypse."

It continues, "When chaos in the city begins to arise, they are forced to question: have they learned from their old wounds or will their dark past spell doom for the entire city?"

The spin-off is set around five to six years after the conclusion of the main series.

Season 3 consists of eight episodes, matching the episode count of Season 2. New episodes are released every Sunday on AMC and AMC+ in the US at 9 p.m. ET.

Viewers in the United States can watch new episodes every Sunday on AMC or stream them on AMC+.

For UK audiences, a release date has not been confirmed yet. The first two seasons were added to Sky Max and NOW after their US broadcast had finished, so Season 3 is expected to follow a similar release pattern. If that happens, UK viewers may have to wait until at least September before the full season becomes available.

Meanwhile, Seasons 1 and 2 are currently streaming on AMC+ and Netflix in supported regions.

Season 3 cast brings back familiar faces and adds new names

Lauren Cohan and Jeffrey Dean Morgan return as Maggie Greene and Negan, leading the new season once again.
