Maggie and Negan face a new chapter
Season 3 picks up several years after the events of the original The Walking Dead series. This time, Maggie (Lauren Cohan) and Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) attempt to leave their long-running conflict behind as they work together to create a stable community in Manhattan.The official synopsis says, "Maggie and Negan finally put aside their differences to build the first thriving community in Manhattan since the apocalypse."
It continues, "When chaos in the city begins to arise, they are forced to question: have they learned from their old wounds or will their dark past spell doom for the entire city?"
The spin-off is set around five to six years after the conclusion of the main series.

Season 3 consists of eight episodes, matching the episode count of Season 2. New episodes are released every Sunday on AMC and AMC+ in the US at 9 p.m. ET.The complete release schedule is:

Where to watch The Walking Dead: Dead City Season 3
Viewers in the United States can watch new episodes every Sunday on AMC or stream them on AMC+.For UK audiences, a release date has not been confirmed yet. The first two seasons were added to Sky Max and NOW after their US broadcast had finished, so Season 3 is expected to follow a similar release pattern. If that happens, UK viewers may have to wait until at least September before the full season becomes available.
Season 3 cast brings back familiar faces and adds new names
Lauren Cohan and Jeffrey Dean Morgan return as Maggie Greene and Negan, leading the new season once again.Other returning cast members include Logan Kim as Hershel Rhee. Season 3 also welcomes several new actors, including Jimmi Simpson as Dillard, Raúl Castillo as Luis, Aimee Garcia as Renata and Michael Emery.
Another notable addition is Emily Kinney, who is set to appear in an episode described as taking place in an "alternate universe." Kinney previously played Beth Greene in the original series, making her return one of the biggest surprises announced around the show's San Diego Comic-Con panel.
