The Trident allows outside catering service during Korea Day
Outside food not allowed is not just a sign hanging down the walls of your neighbourhood Udipi joint. It’s commonplace decorum that restaurants expect their patrons to observe. But a hotel doesn’t get a luxe status for turning down requests from its prized customers.

Last week, the Korean Embassy in conjunction with industry body, FICCI celebrated the National Day of the Republic of Korea at The Trident in South Mumbai. One of the highlights of the evening was the authentic Korean food, served by Delhi-based Gungho Exim & Restaurants Pvt Ltd, owned and managed by Korean national Kim Jin Bum. As per organisers, the venue was picked as it was the only hotel that generously allowed an outside catering service to serve food on its premises. Some of the delicacies served at the event included Bulgogi (grilled marinated beef), Bibimbap (literally meaning mixed rice), Japchae (sweet potato noodles) and Chicken Gang Jung (fried chicken).
