The strangest thing I've ever eaten is crocodile meat: Zaheer Khan

Zaheer Khan may have swapped his cricket gear for an entrepreneur's suit but he's still applying his learnings on the field in the board room. Khan, who now owns multiple restaurants and gyms, says, "Just like in cricket, in hospitality too, you need a good team. You have different roles within the team, but it all needs to fire off together. It's much like a sports team — respecting each other's space and understanding your role."

The biggest lesson the former left-arm seamer says he's learnt is to take a step back when it's just not your day. Khan advises, "If it's not your day, you need to let someone else take over. And when it's not their day, you take more responsibility."

But while Khan's first love is always cricket, he thinks of himself as a giant foodie at heart. "I have always been open to trying out new food from different countries. It gives you an insight into the culture of the place. The strangest thing I have ever eaten was during my first tour in Kenya. There was a lot of game meat and I tried crocodile meat. It was a completely different experience.".
