Bachchan tried nasal spray, home-made health tonic, touted as 'Kaadhaa' in Hindi, and even smelling salts, but nothing worked for him.

Due to his poor health, he was experiencing drowsiness, disillusioned and disoriented. After a dose of strong medication and nebulisation, the megastar felt relief.

"On my dear Lord, the coming back to the glory of health in the condition one should be in, is the happiest gift of the Almighty," he wrote after an entire day of illness.

Right after he was able to breathe better, he booked an appointment with an Indian Premier League match.
