Long before he became a heartthrob with films such as 3 Idiots, Rehna Hai Tere Dil Main, R Madhavan was an NCC cadet, dreaming of joining Indian Armed Forces.
During his time with the Army, he went on to become one of Maharashtra’s best NCC Cadets and was one of the eight cadets chosen to travel to England where he trained with the British Army, Royal Navy and Royal Air Force.
Despite his dedication and preparation, he was unable to join the Indian Army because he narrowly exceeded the maximum age limit required for entry by six months.
