Prabhas is set to return to theatres with a striking change of tone in The Raja Saab, a romantic horror comedy that blends spectacle with suspense. After the film’s pre release event, the makers unveiled the theatrical trailer 2.0, instantly drawing attention for its eerie atmosphere, layered mystery and larger than life characters. The film is scheduled for a worldwide release on January 9, 2026.

A mansion where the past refuses to rest

The trailer introduces viewers to a vast ancestral mansion that holds more than just memories. Sanjay Dutt plays Prabhas’ grandfather, whose death does not end his authority. His spirit continues to dominate the space, exerting a hypnotic influence over anyone who enters. When Prabhas’ character moves into the mansion to uncover details about his family history, he walks straight into a dangerous web he does not yet understand.

As the visuals unfold, the house feels less like a residence and more like a labyrinth, filled with illusions, secrets and unseen threats. Prabhas and his friends soon find themselves trapped, with every corner revealing a new layer of mystery.

One of the most intriguing elements of the trailer is the hint of a royal lineage tied to Prabhas’ character. His traditional look and references to an inherited estate suggest a deeper conflict rooted in power, property and unfinished business. The questions raised by the trailer are deliberate. What binds the grandfather’s spirit to the mansion? Why does his presence feel inescapable? And how far will the protagonist be pushed before confronting the truth?

A strong ensemble and pan India canvas

Alongside Prabhas, the film features Malavika Mohanan, Nidhhi Agerwal and Riddhi Kumar in prominent roles, with Boman Irani and Zarina Wahab adding weight to the supporting cast. Directed by Maruthi and produced by TG Vishwa Prasad under the People Media Factory banner, The Raja Saab is designed as a full scale pan India release across Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam.
