Following its theatrical debut, attention has now shifted to its digital release. According to a report by OTTplay, The Raja Saab will stream on JioHotstar, which has secured the film’s OTT rights after prolonged negotiations. The report noted that the makers initially faced difficulty finalising a streaming partner due to the high price they were asking for. Despite strong pre-release buzz and an early trailer launch meant to boost demand, several platforms were reportedly hesitant.
Made on an estimated budget of Rs 350 crore, The Raja Saab is among the most expensive Telugu films in recent times. A significant portion of this budget reportedly went into Prabhas’ remuneration.
Interestingly, the film also sets its sights on the future. The end credits confirm The Raja Saab Part 2, immediately sparking curiosity among fans. Ahead of the release, director Maruthi spoke about the sequel, clarifying that it will not directly continue the first film’s storyline. As quoted by OTTplay, Maruthi explained that the idea is to expand the universe rather than repeat the same narrative, with a fresh story while staying rooted in the horror genre.
