Amid new releases, Nani’s The Paradise is showing steady signs at the box office. The film arrived in theatres on September 24 and is directed by Srikanth Odela. It stars Nani in the lead, with Raghav Juyal and Mohan Babu in key roles. Now, for fans waiting for its digital release or those hoping to rewatch the film from home after its theatrical run, there is an update.

The Paradise received mixed responses from audiences and critics alike. Amid this, the film continues to draw audiences in decent numbers in its second weekend. With its theatrical run underway, attention is now turning towards its OTT release.

The Paradise OTT release: When and where to watch?

The Paradise will stream on Netflix after its theatrical run. Netflix is listed as the film’s official streaming partner in the opening credits of the theatrical version.

However, the makers have not announced an official OTT premiere date yet. Traditionally, films make their digital debut around six to eight weeks after their theatrical release, although the exact window can vary depending on the title and its theatrical performance.

If The Paradise follows a similar six-to-eight-week schedule from its September 24 release, the film could potentially arrive on Netflix between November 5 and November 19. This is only an expected window, and viewers will have to wait for an official announcement for confirmation.

The Paradise may get a Telugu song for OTT

Interestingly, the Netflix version could have a small but major change. According to 123Telugu report, the theatrical release features an English song during an important sequence in the second half. The song has received some criticism from viewers, with some feeling that it did not create the intended emotional impact.

Director Srikanth Odela has reportedly discussed the possibility of adding a Telugu song for the digital version. During a conversation with lyricist Kasarla Shyam, the filmmaker indicated that he was considering approaching composer Anirudh Ravichander to work on a new track.

The idea is to make the sequence connect better with the audience and bring out the emotional depth that Odela originally intended. Lyricist Kasarla Shyam also reportedly agreed that a Telugu song could have worked better for the scene.

If the plan goes ahead, viewers watching The Paradise on Netflix could therefore get a slightly different version of the film compared with the one currently playing in theatres.

What is The Paradise about?

The Paradise is set in 1980s Secunderabad and follows the lives of the Savaari community, a marginalised group living under difficult conditions. The community is denied basic rights, including voting and citizenship, while being controlled by a powerful landlord.

Mohan Babu plays Shikanja Maalik, the influential landlord who rules over the area. His character becomes one of the major forces standing in the way of the community's freedom.

Nani plays Jadal, the son of Sammakka, portrayed by Sonali Kulkarni. After returning from prison, Jadal is influenced by his mother's determination and gradually emerges as a leader for his community. His journey turns him into an unlikely figure of resistance.

The story then develops into a larger conflict between Jadal and Vikram Malik, played by Raghav Juyal. Vikram is Shikanja Maalik's son and Jadal's childhood rival. As their personal rivalry grows, it becomes part of a much bigger fight involving power, politics and the struggle for freedom.

Kayadu Lohar is also part of the cast. Stay tuned to see when the movie will release on OTT.
