The new 10-pound note boasts of impressive security features. Here are some other banknotes with snazzy characteristics
The new 10-pound note has eight visible security features to deter counterfeiters.

1. Rs 2,000 note, India
Launched after the demonetisation drive by the central government in November 2016, the new Rs 2,000 note has a see-through register where the numeral 2,000 can be seen when the note is held against the light. A latent image of 2,000 can be seen when the note is tilted. It also has micro letters RBI and 2000 printed on the front.
2. $10 note, Canada
The Bank of Canada released a commemorative $10 banknote to mark the 150th anniversary of the Confederation in April this year. Its security features include an inscription of maple leaves that appear to be printed in 3D, but are, in fact, fl at to the touch. The most eye-catching new feature is a magnetic ink that changes colour from blue to green when it’s tilted, used to illustrate stained glass in an arched window from the Memorial Chamber in the Peace Tower on Parliament Hill.
3. €50 note, Europe
4. $10 note, Australia
The new note, set to be launched this week, has a number of anti-counterfeiting features, including a top-to-bottom clear window and images that change colour when the note is tilted. It also has a tactile element to help the vision-impaired identify the note. The faces of writer Dame Mary Gilmore and bush poet AB “Banjo” Paterson have been retained on the new notes.
