The more K-dramas, the merrier! Amazon Prime launches 14 shows, line-up includes psychological thrillers & rom-coms

From romance to mystery, there will be Korean dramas from all genres. For K-drama lovers this is nothing short of a fest.

There has never been a better time to be a desi Korean drama fan! Amazon Prime Video India will now stream several popular dramas for those who can't enough of K-dramas.
Tapping into the growing popularity of South Korean content, Prime Video India the streaming platform provided by Amazon, announced the expansion of its Korean drama slate on Friday by bringing 14 shows this festive season. The K-drama series are in collaboration with CJ ENM and SLL, and feature diverse genres including romance, mystery, suspense thriller, slice-of-life drama and more.

Some of the popular shows launching on the service include suspense melodrama 'Flower of Evil', starring Lee Jun-gi and Moon Chae-won, crime mystery 'Stranger', and 'The One and Only' featuring Ahn Eun-Jin, Ko Doo-sim, and Park Soo-Young.

The psychological thriller 'Beyond Evil', which narrates the story of two fearless men who are willing to go through extreme lengths in their pursuit of a returning serial killer, is also part of the slate along with 'Sky Castle', a satirical drama starring Jung-ah Yum, Tae-ran Lee, and Yun Se-ah, and 'Artificial City', which deals with greed and power.


In the romance, comedy, and relationship drama category, there are shows such as 'My ID is Gangnam Beauty', 'Prison Playbook','Search WWW', 'Reply 1988', and 'Reply 1994', historical drama fiction 'The Crowned Clown', fantasy drama 'Signal', and 'He is Psychometric'..
Aside from this, the streaming service is also offering two currently airing Korean drama - 'May I Help you' and 'Love in Contract'. From December, K-drama fans can also enjoy fantasy drama 'Island'. Prime Video has acquired the exclusive rights to air it. The show will be available for streaming in 240 countries. 'Island' stars Kim Nam-gil, Lee Da-hee, Sung Joon and Astro’s Cha Eun-woo. It is set in the idyllic Jeju island of Korea and explores the local legends and folklore. The characters are shown to fight the forces of evil. Kim plays Ban a man raised to fight evil and defend the world against supernatural threats. Lee plays Won Mi-ho, a teacher, Cha plays John, a Catholic priest who performs exorcisms and Sung Joon plays Gungtan, who fights alongside Ban.

These popular shows started streaming on Prime Video from Friday.
