The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power returns with its third season. The makers have released the new trailer, offering a glimpse of a growing war which involves Sauron, his army of Orcs and people fighting to stop him. From tensions among Elves, Dwarves and people Numenor to terrifying Ringwraiths, the upcoming season looks promising, bringing more magic and challenges. But when and where can you stream it?

The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power season 3 OTT release date

The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power season 3 is all set to stream on Amazon Prime Video. On November 11, the first four episodes will release. Episode 5 and 6 will be available to stream from November 18 onwards, and the final two episodes are scheduled for release on November 25.

What to expect from season 3?

Season 3 is set thousands of years before the events of J.R.R Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings. It explores Middle-earth during Second age. The upcoming season will see a time jump of 5 years, when the war between the Elves and the Dark Lord Sauron reaches a critical stage.


Sauron continues to create the One Ring, which would give him the power to defeat enemies and conquer Middle-earth. The new season will see people struggling to resist his influence and prevent darkness from spreading.

The Rings of Power season 3 trailer teases a massive war

If the new trailer is anything to go by, then a large-scale battle will take place in Middle-earth. It will feature Dragons, Balrogs, and Ringwraiths. Sauron's terrifying Ring-servants are shown in black armour as conflict intensifies.

The island kingdom of Númenor also faces growing political divisions, with rival factions pushing it towards civil war. In the eastern lands of Rhûn, Gandalf draws on his magic and powers of persuasion as he attempts to turn the tide against the approaching darkness.
