The fourth season of The Legend of Vox Machina is scheduled to premiere on June 3, 2026. The upcoming season will stream exclusively on Amazon Prime Video across more than 240 countries and territories.

The first three episodes will drop together on premiere day, while the remaining episodes will release weekly afterward. Season 4 will continue the story roughly a year after the events involving the Chroma Conclave. After surviving devastating battles, the members of Vox Machina had gone their separate ways in search of peace, healing and personal direction.

The season 3 finale had already hinted at individual journeys for several characters. Some members appeared ready to reconnect with family, while others were moving toward unfinished responsibilities and personal missions. However, the calm does not last for long.

A new threat begins to emerge in the shadows, forcing the scattered group to reunite once again. Reports suggest the upcoming storyline will focus on the arrival of the Whispered One, also known among longtime fans as Vecna. The mysterious villain is expected to become one of the biggest dangers the group has faced so far.

The series continues to explore themes like found family, redemption, trauma, loyalty and sacrifice while balancing humour and large-scale fantasy action.

The returning voice cast includes Laura Bailey as Vex, Taliesin Jaffe as Percival, Ashley Johnson as Pike Trickfoot, Matthew Mercer as Trinket, Liam O'Brien as Vaxildan, Travis Willingham as Grog Strongjaw, Sam Riegel as Scanlan Shorthalt, and Marisha Ray among others.

The show is based on the original tabletop role-playing campaign created by Matthew Mercer back in 2012. The adaptation has been developed by Critical Role Productions along with Amazon Studios, Metapigeon and Titmouse, Inc. Music for the series has been composed by Neal Acree.

According to reports cited by SuperHeroHype, the first three seasons of the series received strong critical reception, including high audience ratings on Rotten Tomatoes and IMDb. The growing popularity of the franchise also led to another animated adaptation from the Critical Role universe, released in 2025.
