‘The Kashmir Files’ war of tweets: Anupam Kher’s cryptic response to Kapil Sharma's 'thank you' leaves netizens baffled

The row over ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ not inviting the crew of the recently released ‘The Kashmir Files’ seem to be far from over. While the matter has not escalated, a cryptic Tweet from Anupam Kher on Sharma’s tweet has got netizens wondering.

Kapil Sharma had expressed his gratitude to the actor after the latter refuted the false allegations surrounding the film’s exclusion from the show. Now, Kher has responded to Kapil’s tweet. His tweet suggesting that how he hoped Kapil Sharma shared the entire video and not the half-truth, has left many fans of both the stars wondering if they have buried the hatchet.

“Dear @KapilSharmaK9 ! I wish you had posted the full video and not the half-truth. The entire world is celebrating, you also celebrate tonight. Love and prayers always!” read Kher's latest tweet.

Earlier this week, the 40-year-old comedian had shared a clip of Kher and the director of the film Vivek Agnihotri speaking with a news channel. "To be very honest, I must say it here, I was called to be on the show. I had told my manager that this is a serious film, (so) I won't be able to go on the show. I want to put my point over here. This happened two months ago when I was invited. I had been on the show before a couple of times. It is a funny show," Kher said when the interviewer asked why the film’s crew was not invited to the show.
A week ago Kapil Sharma was heavily criticised by a section on Twitter for not inviting the crew of the film. The show has been known to feature several Bollywood celebrities who come to the show to promote their films. However, the absence of the film’s crew on the show triggered a barrage of reactions.

On March 7, the film’s director Vivek Agnihotri was asked why he was not invited to the show. To this, the filmmaker said that it was the decision of Sharma and the show’s producers. Agnihotri’s tweet snowballed into a controversy with several people attacking the comedian on various social media portals.

‘The Kashmir Files’ written and directed by Agnihotri depicts the exodus of Kashmiri Hindus from Kashmir after systematic killings of their people by Pakistan-backed terrorists.
