The joy of giving: Rishad Premji, Anu Aga talk about philanthropy

It was full quorum at Dasra Philanthropy Day, hosted last week in Mumbai, with noted philanthropists spending a better part of their day sharing and listening to inspiring stories of giving. The day was best viewed from the lens of combinations, on and off stage.

Mother-daughter duo, Anu Aga and Meher Pudumjee of Thermax kicked off the gathering with a chat about building a family legacy of philanthropy. The reticent Wipro scion, Rishad Premji took the mic to speak about better giving, as wife Aditi, who works in the non-profit sector looked on from the other side of the stage.

Amit Chandra ( Bain Capital) and wife Archana participated in two separate panel discussions as did, mentor and mentee, Hemendra Kothari ( DSP Blackrock) and Kaku Nakhate (Bank of America). Kothari’s daughter Aditi, and husband, Vikram Desai dropped by to hear him speak. Sisters, Aparna and Radhika Piramal ( VIP Industries) mingled freely through the day.
