'The Godfather' mansion on market

LOS ANGELES: Don Corleone's fans can now get their hands on the house that he lived in as the mansion where the iconic 1972 movie ' The Godfather' was filmed is on the market for $2.89 million.

The 6,248-square-foot mansion, which sits on a 24,000-square-foot open expanse, was used for many memorable scenes in the movie including the Sicilian-style wedding of Connie Corleone. The backyard is seen in a scene when Don Corleone, played by Marlon Brando, died of a heart attack while playing with his grandson.

The estate featured in the film is back on the market through Staten Island-based Connie Profaci Realty, reported People magazine.

The inside shots of the home were not filmed but the owners have made several changes to match the interior with the film.
