Director JJ Abrams’s reboot of Stars Wars franchise will include cameos from Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher

The Force is back
The cast of Star Wars Episode 7 has finally been announced. A number of new arrivals will join original actors such as Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill who will all reprise their roles.

22-year old John Boyega is expected to play one of the ‘trio of leads’ in the sequel. Adam Driver is touted to play a Darth Vader-like antagonist. Oscar Isaac of Inside Llewyn Davis fame is set to play a pivotal role. Daisy Ridley, a fresh- faced British actress, was also a part of the list. Other new arrivals announced were Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson and Max von Sydow.

The returning cast comprise Harrison Ford as Han Solo, Carrie Fisher as Princess Leia, Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker, Anthony Daniels as C-3PO, Peter Mayhew as Chewbacca and Kenny Baker as R2-D2.
