Typically, real estate in Mumbai is associated with tall buildings, sky-rocketing prices, lifestyle and amenities but rarely do we look at the people who help create these lifestyles.Everyday, thousands of people explore job opportunities in this sector of which the largest component comprises the labourers who work on project sites.

On June 12, real estate developers with projects in Thane joined hands to participate in `The Thane Moonsoon Relay' organised by The Dosti Foundation. Created to express their gratitude for all the hard work put in by the labourers and to bring a fun element to the lives of the children who often live at these sites, this event depicted the softer side to real estate. The brainchild of this event was Shraddha Goradia, daughter of Deepak Goradia , Chairman, Dosti Realty, who is involved in the strategy department for sales & marketing in the company.

She was moved by the happy spirit of the children who she interacted with at one of the Dosti sites. “During a site visit, on a stressful day I saw a couple kids playing and their smile brightened my anxiety and worries. It made me realise that happiness lies in little things,“ said Shraddha.
