Thalaivar gets the jab! Rajinikanth wraps up 'Annaatthe' shoot, returns to Chennai for 2nd Covid dose
The superstar was administered the Covishield vaccine at a Chennai hospital.

The actor's publicist Riaz K Ahmed confirmed that the 70-year-old was administered the second dose of the Covishield vaccine at a hospital in Chennai. Details about his first jab were not known.
According to Ahmed, the 'Robot' star reached Chennai on Wednesday after wrapping up his Hyderabad shoot for the upcoming Tamil film, 'Annaatthe' (Elder Brother). Rajini had left for Hyderabad on April 7 for the shoot.
Sun Pictures, the producers of 'Annaatthe', a Siva directorial, had said that the movie would be released on November 4 (Diwali) this year. The shoot for the movie was deferred last December after some crew members tested positive for coronavirus.
Alongside an image with her superstar-father getting the jab, Soundarya Rajinikanth took to Twitter to share the update as well. She further urged her 3 million followers on the micro-blogging site to fight and win this war against Coronavirus together.
With hashtags - #ThalaivarVaccinated #TogetherWeCan #MaskOn #StayHomeStaySafe, the 36-year-old producer-director wrote, "Our Thalaivar gets his vaccine."
