According to IMDb, the plot revolves around Agasaveeran (played by Vijay Sethupathi), who runs a modest tiffin centre with his family, and his wife Arasi (Nithya Menen). Their relationship, initially warm and affectionate, soon turns into a series of petty disputes, leading to a three-month separation and a divorce petition. Just as their marriage seems beyond repair, an unforeseen incident forces them to confront deeper issues.


The ensemble cast also includes Yogi Babu, Roshini Haripriyan, Myna Nandhini, Deepa Shankar, Kaali Venkat, Vinodhini, and Chemban Vinod Jose. Santhosh Narayanan composed the soundtrack, while M Sukumar handled cinematography and Pradeep E. Ragav took charge of editing.

While Tamil films often arrive on streaming platforms about four weeks after their theatrical debut, Thalaivan Thalaivii is expected to follow a slightly longer schedule. As per India TV, industry reports suggest that Amazon Prime Video has acquired the digital rights, but the official streaming date has not been announced.

With Superstar Rajinikanth’s Coolie set for an August 14 release, Thalaivan Thalaivii is anticipated to continue in select theatres for an extended period. Reportedly the film could make its OTT debut around six weeks after its cinema release, placing the likely premiere date between August 22 and August 29.

The film’s song “Potala Mutte” has gone viral online, adding to its popularity. Social media users have described the movie as a heartwarming yet humorous take on marital relationships.
