Now, she and her husband are ready to welcome their first child in the wintry wonderland. Not long ago, Julie posted a video on social media, documenting what her life looks like in Alaska. She revealed that the temperatures mostly remain below zero degrees and her nights are filled with watching the northern lights and watching moose passing through her doorway.

Julie added that Starlink provides their internet and sometimes the moose wander onto their property during the spring. She has even adjusted to the cold temperatures, claiming that the temperature does not feel that uncomfortable as people make it out to be. Although that logic sometimes dwindles when temperatures fall below 60 degrees. As per Julie, the biggest adjustment she had to make was learning how to live through an Interior Alaska winter with only a few hours of daylight. ‘You wake up, and it’s dark. You go to work, and it’s dark. And you come home, and it’s still dark,’ she noted, adding that the continued darkness makes it even more important to take extra care of your mental health, ensuring you get enough sunlight whenever possible. However, for Julie, the winter season has become her favourite time of the year.
