Telugu star Sarath Babu still in recovery after being admitted for multi-organ damage; actor's family slams death rumours
Telugu actor Sarath Babu is recovering from multi-organ damage in a Hyderabad hospital, having been admitted on April 20. Reports of his death circulated on social media and were fuelled by Kamal Haasan and Khushbu Sundar's tweet.

On Thursday, reports of the veteran actor's demise started doing the round on social media. Superstar Kamal Haasan's tweet condoling Sarath's death added fuel to the speculations.
In his post in the Tamil language, the 'Chachi 420' star called Sarath a "friend, good human and well-wisher."
"My dear, elder brother. Sarath Babu is my friend, a good human, well-wisher. So many films and many stories. Films will live with you, and our stories and memories will live with us forever. Yours, Kamal Haasan," the loose translation of his tweet.

Actress-turned-politician Khushbu Sundar also expressed grief on Twitter.
Hours after the condolences started pouring in, Sarath Babu's family member issued a statement, denying the death rumours on Thursday.
The note by Sarath's sister was shared by Vamsi Shekhar, whose Twitter bio says he is a Public Relations and Marketing Consultants in South Indian Films.
Denying the rumours, his sister clarified that the actor's treatment is underway and he has been moved to another room. His sister urged Sarath's fans to not indulge in rumours and spread fake news.
Two weeks ago, the 71-year-old was in critical condition after he suffered multi-organ damage, and was put on a ventilator. Sources said that he suffered from sepsis, which affected his kidneys, lungs, liver and other organs.
Sarath's brother Ayush Tejas also clarified that there was no truth to the death rumours. According to him, the actor's condition was better on Wednesday. The doctors told the family that it will take some days for him to recover completely.
