Tech goes mainstream “Since the pandemic and the lockdown, technology has been a bigger enabler than it was pre-Covid. From the daily meetings to communicating with friends and family, technology has been playing a major role. Not only the screen-time has increased, the work-culture has changed drastically and has been significantly influenced by technology. Tools like calendar, Zoom, Google meet etc have become mainstream.”
Must-have gadgets “Nowadays, I cannot even imagine my day without smartphone and our laptop. However, the usage of wireless headphones has also increased significantly as some of us have to spend a lot of time on phone calls and holding a handset to ear can be tiresome.”
‘No-electronics routine’ “I use an android phone. My criteria include- good performance, access to apps (play store), a good power backup and a good camera. I avoid any heavy-duty tasks on my phone. Suiting all these requirements is my pick Samsung M51. Also, I have been using my wireless earphones that help in attending any calls without having to keep my phone close or attached. I try to keep away from my phone while I exercise, sit with my family and while I am having my food. Also, I follow a 30-minutes ‘no electronics’ routine. In this time, I avoid using phones, earphones or laptop.”
Latest obsession “The Jabra Wireless 75T - Its active noise cancellation helps me take calls and meetings even in the middle of home, where I can separate myself from surrounding noises completely. It is also helpful if I ever want to cut off from the world and focus on work with light music and noise cancellation.”

App drawer “In my daily routine I mostly use WhatsApp to communicate. Apart from that, Google apps like Google docs, Google calendar help me to manage the data and engagements. I use Zoom for virtual meetings as its interface is very easy and the quality of video call is much better. I use InShorts for the latest news updates whenever I take a break during the day. And this app Audible is a very important part of my routine now. I prefer listening to audiobooks after my work hours.
“If I were to recommend three interesting apps, they would definitely be- Zira, Cred and ET Markets. Zira enables you to manage your tasks better. Cred is a must have app for anyone, as it helps you maintain a healthy financial lifestyle. And if one is a market enthusiast then ET Markets would any day be the preferred app. Zira is my first choice to stay organised and manage my tasks better. I am very used to of this app now.”
Wearable tech “I wear a GoQii Vital. It helps stay active during the day by giving sitting reminders. It is a must for me while I exercise. And it fits the requirements when it comes to monitoring vitals like O2 meter, BP, Heart Rate etc.”

WFH investments “Due to pandemic and lockdown, I had to upgrade the internet connection at home and also set up a proper work-space with required connections and lighting. Also, I upgraded my data plan on my phone which would work as a backup data connection. Also, as a company, we provided our team with laptops to enable them to work from home. There were some software also that we purchased like Zoom license, CRM implementation, and Zira. I not only organise my professional meetings with Google Calendar, but also my personal engagements. In fact, my family has an access to it so that there is least chance of any disappointment.”
