Tanishaa Mukerji to play a prominent role in Anna Hazare biopic

Tanishaa Mukerji will be seen playing a journalist in the upcoming biopic of social activist Anna Hazare. The Hindi language film will be directed by Shashank Udapurkar.

Tanishaa added, "It's a story close to Anna Hazare's real life. He has approved it and so this will be his official biopic. At his age, he has inspired a whole generation of youth and I found that extremely fascinating.“ Since it's a political drama, we wondered if the actress was apprehensive on signing a project that could run into controversy . However, Tanishaa nonchalantly replied, "I have never shied away from controversies. You can make it my middle name." This is a comeback film of sorts for the actress whose last major film was Sarkar Raj (2008).
