Tamil superhit film Dragon OTT release date confirmed. When and where to watch the comedy-drama

Pradeep Ranganathan has delivered yet another blockbuster with Dragon, which has soared past Rs 100 crores at the box office, making it the highest-grossing Tamil film of the year so far. This marks his second consecutive triple-digit success after Love Today. Directed by Ashwath Marimuthu, the film also found commercial success in Telugu under the title Return of the Dragon.

Now, fans who missed the theatrical release can catch Dragon on Netflix starting March 21. The film will be available in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada, extending its reach to a wider audience. With a theatrical window of five weeks, expectations are high for its performance in the digital space. Netflix shared the news by dropping a poster and wrote, “Some dragons don’t breathe fire, because their comebacks are hotter. Watch Dragon on Netflix, out 21 March in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.”

Cast of Dragon

A youthful comedy entertainer, Dragon features Kayadu Lohar and Anupama Parameswaran as the female leads. The film was produced by AGS Entertainment and boasts an impressive supporting cast, including renowned filmmakers Gautham Vasudev Menon and Mysskin in pivotal roles. Leon James has composed the music, adding to the film's vibrant appeal.

Plot of Dragon

In 2014, bright student Ragavan won a gold medal in computer science but was rejected by his crush for being too well-mannered. Heartbroken, he transforms into the rebellious Dragon, earning a notorious reputation at Engineering College in Vellore with 48 arrears. Despite his poor academics, he gains respect among students but faces expulsion after a fight.

After college, Dragon deceives his parents into believing he has an IT job while secretly surviving on borrowed money. When his longtime girlfriend Keerthi leaves him for being financially unstable, he vows to prove himself. Inspired by a wealthy friend who faked his degree, Dragon does the same, securing a high-paying MNC job in the U.S. Through sheer skill, he excels at work, rapidly climbing the corporate ladder.

Engaged to businessman Parasuram’s daughter, Pallavi, and living a luxurious life, Dragon's past catches up when his former dean Mayilvahanan challenges him to clear all arrears in three months. Fearing exposure, he secretly returns to college while managing his job. As he struggles to balance both worlds, unexpected twists force him to confront his actions, leading to a turning point that redefines his life.
