Tamil star Sivakarthikeyan welcomes 3rd child, shares glimpses of naming ceremony

Tamil actor Sivakarthikeyan has become a father for the third time! The ‘Ayalaan’ star and his wife Arthy welcomed their third child, a son, on June 2. Taking to X, the actor shared a glimpse of his son’s naming and cradle ceremony and revealed that they had named their third child ‘Pavan’ (which means ‘Wind’ in Sanskrit). For the unversed, the actor and his wife are parents to a daughter named Aaradhana and a son named Gugan.

The video went viral on X, gaining more than 250K views and 12K likes. The ‘Maaveeran’ actor wrote, “With all your blessings and wishes, we have named our little one Pavan Sivakarthikeyan.”

On the professional front, Sivakarthikeyan is currently filming his upcoming movie, Amaran. This Tamil-language action-war film was written and directed by Rajkumar Periasamy and produced by Raaj Kamal Films International and Sony Pictures Films India. The film also stars Sai Pallavi, Bhuvan Arora, Rahul Bose, Lallu, Hanun Bawra, Ajaey Naga Raaman, Mir Salman, Gaurav Venkatesh, and Shreekumar in key roles.

The teaser for Amaran was released earlier this year on Sivakarthikeyan's birthday. In it, he portrays the late Major Mukund Varadarajan, commander of the 44 Rashtriya Rifles Cheetah Company in the Indian Army. The intense 90-second teaser shows Major Varadarajan preparing his troops for a dangerous counterterrorism mission amid rising tensions in the war on terror. Major Mukund tragically died in combat with militants in Shopian, Kashmir, in April 2014 and was posthumously awarded the Ashok Chakra, India's highest peacetime gallantry honor, for his exceptional bravery and sacrifice.
