Tamil star Ravi Mohan makes explosive claims after rumoured split with Keneeshaa Francis, announces acting break
Tamil actor Ravi Mohan turned emotional during a press meet in Chennai and announced that he would not act in films until his divorce from estranged wife Aarti Ravi is finalised. Speaking about cyberbullying, family issues and public scrutiny, Rav...

The press conference came after days of social media speculation, emotional Instagram posts, and public statements from people connected to the controversy. Ravi appeared visibly disturbed during the interaction and at one point broke down while speaking about his personal struggles, cyberbullying, and separation from his children.
Ravi Mohan Says He Has Reached a Breaking Point
Addressing the media, Ravi said he had remained silent for a long time but now felt forced to respond. “Enough is enough. I refrained from opening up all these days. Now, the time has come. People think Ravi Mohan, aka Jayam Ravi, is a soft person. I have been that way, but not anymore,” he said.Quoting the Tamil proverb “Saadhu Miranda Kaadu Kolladhu”, he added that people had been testing his patience for too long. Ravi also challenged critics directly, saying, “This is my office. Face me if you can.”
The actor then made a major announcement about his career. Holding back tears, he said, “Until my divorce comes through, I will not act. Whenever I get my divorce, my life will be normal again… whenever this cyberbullying stops, I will return.”
Ravi also alleged that he had suffered humiliation for years and claimed he had been “kept like a slave”. He further said he was unable to focus on creativity because of the emotional pressure surrounding his personal life.
Emotional Claims About Family and Children
During the interaction, Ravi spoke about his children and claimed he was not being allowed to meet them. “They are not letting me meet my sons. My sons are being assisted by bodyguards,” he said. The actor also spoke about his marriage with Aarti Ravi and said, “I entered marriage against the will of my parents. I am paying the price now for doing that.”
One of the most shocking moments from the press meet came when Ravi revealed an alleged self-harm incident. “In fact, I slit my wrists and still showed up at the shoot the next day. That has been my commitment,” he said.
Without naming anyone directly, Ravi also referred to a “three-letter-named” actress and questioned her public comments about feminism. “The idle actor has no business preaching feminism. After wrecking families, what business does she have talking about feminism in public forums?” he said.
Ravi Mentions Keneeshaa Francis During Press Meet
Ravi also addressed the trolling surrounding Keneeshaa Francis and blamed online harassment for pushing her away. “There is a limit to cyberbullying. I have proof and will expose every one of them,” he said. The actor further added, “You have sent Keneeshaa away... I wish her a good life.”Keneeshaa had earlier announced that she was stepping away from social media and leaving Chennai after facing severe trolling and public scrutiny linked to her association with Ravi Mohan.
In a long Instagram statement, she wrote, “I walked into this story with love. I walk out of it with silence.”
She further said, “To the public, the cinema industry, the commentators, the people who love him, dislike him, defend him, mock him, or claim ownership over his life - he is now all yours.”
Keneeshaa also claimed that constant judgment and “manufactured narratives” had affected her deeply. In another part of her note, she wrote, “I've left Chennai, I give up. I give up on my music, my therapy and all that concerned me for the life I lived this far.”
Before quitting social media, she also blamed “online bullying, manipulation and sorcery” for her decision.
Aarti Ravi and Khushbu Sundar React Online
Just before Ravi’s press conference, Aarti Ravi shared a cryptic message on Instagram that many believed was directed at the actor.“You never wake a sleeping lion. God help if she's a mamma lion. My dignified silence should never be mistaken for weakness or taken undue advantage of,” she wrote.
Actor-politician Khushbu Sundar responded to Aarti’s post with a supportive message, writing, “Never mess with a mother. And you are a lioness with her cubs. More power to you my baby.”
After Ravi’s emotional interaction with the media, Khushbu shared another cryptic statement on X that read, “Some are just hell bent to prove their DNA. Thank you for proving me right.”
