Abhinay first captured attention with his debut in Thulluvadho Ilamai, directed by Kasthuri Raja, where he starred alongside Dhanush and Sherin. The film’s success gave him a strong start in Tamil cinema, leading to lead roles in movies like Jjunction, Singara Chennai, and Pon Megalai. His performances during this phase established him as a promising young talent.
In the late 2000s, Abhinay transitioned to supporting roles and appeared in Solla Solla Inikkum and Palaivana Solai, where he played pivotal characters that showcased his versatility. He later explored voice acting, lending his voice to actor Vidyut Jamwal in Thuppakki and Anjaan.
His health condition
In recent years, Abhinay had been battling serious liver-related complications. Mathrubhumi reported that despite continued medical treatment, his health deteriorated steadily. He had even posted a video requesting financial help to manage his medical expenses, revealing that doctors had warned him about his limited time. Reportedly, his Thulluvadho Ilamai co-star Dhanush stepped in to help, contributing Rs. 5 lakh, while comedian KPY Bala donated Rs. 1 lakh to support his treatment.
